Two programme makers with strong Moseley connections have been nominated in this year’s BAFTA TV awards. Producer/Director Nicola Silk and Series Producer Chris Richards make the hit Channel 4 show ‘Travel Man 48 Hours in…’ which has been shortlisted in the Features category.

Moseley resident Chris, and Nicola who grew up in B13 and has lived at numerous addresses around Moseley, work for North One Television in Digbeth, producing the series which sees presenter Richard Ayoade and a celebrity guest embark on a fact-filled mini-break.

‘It’s a great show to be part of, made by a wonderful team. We get paid to go on holiday with Richard Ayoade which is reward in itself – but to be recognised officially is amazing’ said Nicola..  The new series, currently in production, will feature local comedian (and Christmas 2015 B13 cover-star) Joe Lycett in Amsterdam.

The BAFTA British Academy Television Awards will take place on Sunday 14 May hosted by Sue Perkins, best known for presenting The Great British Bake-Off, also shortlisted in the same category.
