Are you the go-to person in Moseley for gossip?

Are you passionate about Moseley community events and initiatives?

Are you new to Moseley and just want to get stuck in?

Moseley B13 is a monthly print magazine that has been in existence since 1973. Sold in local shops and businesses, it focuses on the people, events and issues that matter to the community. We want to expand our team to include even more enthusiastic lovers of Moseley keen to volunteer their time and talent. We are seeking writers and reporters, editing, design, advertising, marketing, distribution, sales people and other lively locals to get involved.

Want to enhance your CV? Student wanting to gain experience? Like meeting people and promoting good causes? Interested in comedy or music? Retired? Looking for a new challenge?

The team is entirely volunteer-run and utilises a secret Facebook group as a virtual office for online collaboration. Monthly editorial meetings hosted by a team member provide an opportunity to get together as well as plan the following month’s issue. Articles are submitted to the editor mid-month, the designer creates the magazine, which is then reviewed online by the team before going to print and on sale. Every role plays a vital part in creating, distributing and selling the magazine.

If you are interested in joining, or finding out more, please use the contact form at the bottom of this page.

‘For me, volunteering (with this esteemed publication) provides me with an opportunity to connect with and contribute to my local community, meet great people, and feel part of ‘village life’. For others, volunteering provides a sense of purpose and identity, and opportunity to practise a hobby or make new friends. This month B13 meets some of the local people who volunteer their time, ask what they get out of it and discover it’s actually rather a lovely lot’. Sophie Painter, magazine editorial August 2018.
